That Man Is You

 That Man is You

That Man is You! is an interactive men’s weekly breakfast program focused on the development of men in the modern world.

It combines the best research from science with the teachings of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of authentic men capable of transforming themselves, their families and greater society.

Year Three

 Light to the Nations

The second year of the That Man is You! program, entitled  A Light to the Nations, considers man in his relationship to his  spouse.   Heavily influenced by the thought of Saint Pope John  Paul II, A Light to the Nations takes men on a provocative journey  into the spiritual reality of our time: “The family has been placed at the  heart of the great struggle between good and evil, between life and death  and between love and all that is opposed to love” (Pope John Paul II,  Letter to Families, #23).  It is modeled on the story of  Job from the Old Testament.

The Fall 2015 semester sets forth the vision of the union of  man and woman such that “there is none like it in all the earth.”   Integrating the findings of modern medical science with the thought of  Saint Pope John Paul II, A Light to the Nations discovers in the spousal  union a unique reflection of the mystery of the Blessed Trinity that is  much deeper than more poetic words.  It does not shy from considering the  challenges facing marriage and discovers a “culture of death” dangerously  close to the edge.         Through this program you will discover:

  • The dignity and  beauty of the union of man and women, such that there is none like it in all  the earth
  • The incredible  science that lies hidden in the Church’s vision of man, women and their union
  • The indispensable  role of the family in salvation history, from Calvary through the Middle Ages  until today
  • The spiritual attack  that is seeking to bring down the union of man and women as God’s privileged  channel of grace into the world
  • The practical means  for transforming your home into the foundation for the renewal of society,  their families and society
