Sunday Morning Children Faith Formation Needs Volunteers!

We are in need volunteers for our 2021/22 Children’s Faith Formation program.  We need both Adults and Teens (grades 7 and up)

Each of our classrooms requires 2 adults be present.  You can volunteer to be a teacher or more of an aide type position.  Many people may be a little apprehensive about helping in classrooms, but once you get in there, you’ll see it is not so hard.  Catechists are given teacher guides which lay out how to teach the information.    Many who start as aides eventually start teaching some lessons.  With 2 adults in a class, you can alternate teaching lessons, so you are not responsible every week.   This “2 adult rule” is a safety requirement set forth by the Diocese and is meant to keep our children safe.

Teens helpers are important to our program as well.  They help the catechists by helping children during a lesson/activity and running errands during class like making copies and getting supplies.  Teens can earn volunteer credit for Confirmation classes and volunteer organizations at their schools.

Please contact Evelyn Cedrun with questions or to volunteer! [email protected] or (719) 219-2704
